Position Overview

Crosspointe Church of Christ is seeking a passionate, biblically grounded, and servant-hearted Senior Minister to serve as the chief spiritual leader of our congregation. The Senior Minister will provide vision, leadership, preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and ministry oversight while working alongside the Elders, Deacons, staff, and congregation to fulfill Christ's mission in our community.

This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead a welcoming and growing church that is committed to biblical teaching, authentic discipleship, community outreach, and service.

About Crosspointe Church of Christ

Crosspointe Church of Christ is located in downtown Middletown, Ohio. From a small house church in 1949, to our current location.  At present we have 70 families in the congregation.  We are committed to helping people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and serve others. Our church values are learning, doing, loving.

Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Minister will:

  • Preach and teach God's Word in weekly worship services and special church gatherings.

  • Provide spiritual leadership, vision, and direction for the congregation.

  • Work collaboratively with the Elders in developing and implementing the church's mission and ministry priorities.

  • Provide pastoral care, including visitation, counseling, encouragement, and spiritual guidance.

  • Lead, equip, and mentor ministry staff, volunteers, and lay leaders.

  • Oversee worship planning, discipleship ministries, evangelism efforts, and church programs.

  • Participate in congregational meetings, leadership meetings, and ministry planning.

  • Represent the church within the local community and broader ministry relationships.

  • Pursue continuing education and personal spiritual development.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should possess:

  • A strong and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • Agreement with the biblical teachings and practices of the Churches of Christ.

  • Demonstrated ability to preach and teach Scripture effectively.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and pastoral care abilities.

  • A commitment to Christian character, integrity, and servant leadership.

  • Experience in church ministry leadership preferred.

  • Bible college, ministry training, or equivalent ministry experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Crosspointe Church of Christ offers:

  • Annual salary of approximately (based on education and experience) - $45,000 - $55,000
